That's a great funky soul tune. I've been playing it over and over again because I'd not heard that before. I rediscovered David Bowie not all that long ago thanks to my missus, but I do that all the time, really, you know what I mean? Lately, I've been listening to a track by Bobby Hatfield called 'The Feeling Is Right.' It's wicked. I'm also listening to some Ethiopian music, a compilation that covers '71 to '75. They put out great reggae compilations, all Studio One stuff, and they put out some wicked Chicago and New Orleans soul compilations, as well. I've been playing some New Orleans soul compilation CDs with tunes from the '60s and '70s, from a really great label called Soul Jazz. ![]() And I've been playing Noel Gallagher's album loads, too. "Right now, what I've been playing a lot is the new Blur album, which I think is great. The singer of The Jam will play Thetford Forest in Suffolk on 12 July, and Westonbirt. Yet he was happy to talk about what he's currently listening to while on tour, a mix that Esquire has collected below in an exclusive Spotify playlist.
